About me

My name is Alaina and I am one of the many young aspiring foodies trying to make my way in the food world. I love feeding people, entertaining, homemade ice cream, eating healthy and running. I didn’t go to college to learn about food. I had the privilege to learn hands on. I learn best that way. I grew up in a large family and from the beginning I loved food. My mom always tell the story of one day walking in the kitchen and finding me under the table eating a stick of butter. Even at 3 I knew what good food was. 🙂

I have been surrounded by creative people my whole life. I was blessed to work along side of several amazing women catering for weddings, ladies retreats, baby blessings, birthdays, and a host of small parties. In September of 2010 I had the chance to work as a line cook at Felicia Suzanne’s in Memphis TN.  I worked there for about a year before all the driving just got to be too much. (an hour and a half away). I really loved that experience.

I love what food can do for the body. In most countries it is used for healing. Most of Americans have not realized the power of food, and my mission in this blog is to share my experience  for anyone who is looking for a better way to feed their body, take care of the planet, and make people happy. I absolutely LOVE comments so your feedback would be super encouraging.
